So you haven't seen practice. Then you are psychic. I guess we'll lose, since a third party counted how many passes our receivers caught in one practice. Should be a shut out then.
I didn't know Baylor had so many scouts. Do they all get paid? Your scouts probably know our signals and will relay them down to your coaches, like the Rangers do. Maybe that's how y'all won so many games last year. Back to the topic. I will predict 5-6 - for the sock drawer.
How many practices have you attended? How many of Baylor's? How many practices do you think the guys from CFN.com have been to, or ESPN? Who are you gonna trust? The DMN who predicts that we both will win on Saturday? Anyone in their right mind knows that you find people that you can trust, based on past experiences, and if they say something you lend credence to it. It's rational. Think about it. This line of argument you've taken up is pointless. And it will be meaningless in 48 hours when I will have no more need to come to ponyfans.com, because there's no one worth discussing anything with here, besides Stallion (sorry to sink your ship, Stallion).
I never made any claims of knowing what Baylor's coaches are thinking or how many balls your receivers caught in practice. So I guess the people you talked to about SMU practices were reporters from CFN.com, ESPN, and the DMN. One thing you got right is that we'll know soon.
Just say you think Baylor is a lock, and not make pronouncements about SMU practices, and we'll move on. I hope SMU wins, but am just an uniformed fan, and that's all I am basing my hopes on. I think we're improved on a number of fronts and will be competitive, win or lose. Though, I'm not going to Vegas to make a bet on it. Glad you enjoy visiting with Stallion. We are going to miss you, though I assume if you win you'll hang around to gloat.
But we will miss you soooooooooo much.... If SMU wins, and I hope like hell we do, you and all your other Baylor @sshole buddies who came to talk BS over here better come back and bend over voluntarily, or people on this board will track you down in cyberspace wherever you and your non-dancing friends go to post about Samford and son and [deleted] all over your parade.
What?!?! I thought you were just here to talk football. What happened to the "we like texas college football" cr@p we were hearing a week ago about how so many of you really liked SMU and wanted to see it turn around and you rooted for SMU every week except when they played Baylor? Are you saying it was all BS and you guys are just Baylor fans? I am shocked. Enjoy your trip to Dallas. Make sure and stop at the Galleria and see the "moving staircase". We call them escalators.
Right I lived in Dallas for a year, I work in the Bank One building downtown. I do enjoy Dallas, although I recently bought a house in Arlington.
I did used to cheer for SMU. Until I visited this message board. And for the most part, I'd like to see another 0-fer season. It's kinda like visiting the A&M message board, but at least they have a reason to have hope. I'll be back after the game, either way.
Another crab back from another of your posts. You're like Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk. Thanks for the fun. See you Sunday.
Dooby, sorry for the tangent on your topic.
I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about. What did I retract or change? ![]()
Back on TrackBack to the original thread.... season predictions: 4-6 (Tulane game cancelled) Ws: Baylor, ECU, Tulsa, Houston. Only ECU is a very winable game, however I believe Rice, Marshall, and UTEP are potential wins. Rice has always been a tough game for SMU, but if the offense clicks... Marshall is rebuilding and didn't look good against W&M. UTEP is difficult to believe is that far from being the 2 wins it 3 years team...just like Tulsa. The fun thing is that as of tomorrow, all planning and projecting gets thrown out the window...

Our staff and fans see this as a must win. Your staff and most of your fans dont. I think this has to do with the fact that your staff doesnt see this as a very winnable game I do think yall have a 3 win season, maybe 4... Id say Rice, Tulane, and ECU, then maybe an in-conference upset[/quote] That is a poorly investigated observation my naive Baptist friend. I think the one reason Baylor is a little bit more confident is because of 1 win last year (a win in which the 1st string of the opposing team was pulled at halftime because it wasn't much of a game...dumb move but didn't prove anything to an outsider looking in) the A&M game. Last year was no different for us. We beat a few spares...a few spares that put up a much better fight than bu did 2 years ago. I don't have high expectations because I don't want to get my hopes up...but if I am being honest I'd say that everyone is being cautious because we were supposed to beat Navy two years ago in the 1st game. What should happen doesn't always happen. I think Bennett has built this program correctly and I think we start seeing that tomorrow. If you notice few on this board are afraid to predict an SMU victory.
WHAT!? You just made that up. Three players had rushing attempts against Baylor: Courtney Lewis (22car./57yards); Reggie McNeal (22car./139yards); and Keith Joseph (4car/27yards) Two players had passing attempts against Baylor: Reggie McNeal (31 attempts) and Jason Carter (1 attempt) on a trick play. You are an idiot. Nothing you can possibly say can be trusted now. You completely fabricated something that is easily proved wrong, by A&Ms own athletic site (aggieathletics.com, if you'd like to check it out). ![]()
I think SMU will be much improved this year. I just dont know if it translates to many more wins. I say 4-7. Probably more close games though and more respectable road performances. Baylor game is clearly the key to the season. If we lose it, we have to somehow upset TCU. Cant start 0-2 at home
And you are a hypocrite, and nohing you can say can be trusted either. The A&M win last year was a FLUKE, and a much bigger fluke than the NTSU win over Baylor that you were telling that other poster was a fluke, you freaking hypocrite.
That's a lot of anger you have there young man. A lot of anger. It needs to be dealt with. I'm a hypocrite because I called a guy out for straight up making things up, while telling someone that their win was a fluke because it came in the second game of a brand new coach, first on the road, and it was the only time in history they've won. And we beat them the next year convincingly... Right. Now I can see why you think SMU will win. Reality doesn't appear to matter to you, it's what you want to believe is true that matters. ![]()
