Plano West also has junior 5-star center Tyler Davis. He is ranked #20 in the 2015 class and holds offers from SMU, Arizona, Baylor, LSU, Houston, Purdue and TCU. I believe he was ruled ineligible this year by the UIL for transfer reasons. I've heard he and Hogg will be a package deal. Both were at the UConn game.

He was ruled inelgible by the UIL because he transferred from a Frisco ISD school to Plano West with no motivation other than athletics. Davis, Hogg, Soso Jamobo, Mickey Mitchell, and Avery Johnson Jr. all play on the same AAU team (the Texas Titans) so they all wanted to play together in high school as well. While Tyler was ruled inelgible, he has also been recovering from knee surgery he had in the fall so he would have missed a large portion of the season anyway. Mickey Mitchell has been out recently due to a bulging disc in his back, but he might return for the playoffs.

I personally am not that impressed with Tyler Davis, I would much rather have Elijah Thomas out of Lancaster who is also a 5-star 2015 center. But if Hogg and Davis are truly a package deal I would of course love to have both of them on the hilltop.

Who would believe 2 years ago that I would be selecting one 5-star center over another who both are apparently highly interested in SMU? Oh thank Larry.

I saw Hogg the other night & came away very impressed. He is the total package. He does so many things well. Would love to see LB get a hold of him & develop him. I could actually see him playing PG or SG in college. Avery Jr. has really improved & some college will give him a ride.

Thanks. I heard it was a transfer problem but I wasn't aware of his knee issue. While I've never seen Davis play, I've heard he's kinda raw with a big upside. BTW, I saw Thomas all over the place around Moody and Crum Saturday. He seemed to be having a good time. In just two years we are getting to the point were we and others are expecting the elite talent in Dallas to give SMU first consideration. It's unbelievable.

No secret I love Hogg's game. I think he and Ferguson are very similar - long and athletic, 3-point sniper with the ability to attack the rim and can flat out score. IMO, both will be tall 2 guards in college with unlimited potential.

Yeah, I believe Hogg's rating will be a 5 star before he is finished. BTW, the announcer pronounced his name "Hoge".. I hope that is correct, I like it much better than the alternative.

I'm already getting excited for all of the possible Hogg-related chants/gimmicks that the fans could start if he comes to play for us.

We could call anytime he goes off on some team... Hogg-Wild, for instance.
