Re: NCAA 6th Fan
When I posted my comments in this thread called out for being negative, my basis was the attendance and attitude of fans in Garland as well as the last several years at Old Moody. This led me to be skeptical that the fan base would continue to be involved and invested. Over the last few years, I remember the one old guy in the section next to me that would randomly yell out "Go White!" and be heard practically anywhere in Old Moody. That was not 6th Fan worthy to me. After a few more conference games in New Moody, I am thoroughly pleased that the energy has continued to be high. I have become more of a believer that we deserve to be considered in this discussion though a bit skeptic of how long it will last; it is still too short-lived for me to be totally bought in to everyone else's energy level. This made me chuckle. I know exactly who you're talking about. This guy's seats are almost right next to me. (And have been for a while.) He and his wife are very nice and obviously dedicated fans. (He was right near me in Garland, too.)
Re: NCAA 6th Fan
I'm glad someone got the reference. He's a good fan, and I'm glad he has been for so many years. I haven't heard him at New Moody, but I moved when my seats by him went away. I did hear him at Garland a couple times. "This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"

Re: NCAA 6th Fan
He's still there for every game; you just have to be a lot closer to hear him nowadays.
