2 back offense

Postby LakeHighlandsPony » Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:29 am

I truly think if we ran a 2 back offense we would have less 3 and outs. We need to get drives going. Our defense ran out of gas in the 2nd half.

Did anyone else think Jessie Hendersons fumble was a bad call? He was down!

I really liked your two back offense. And those two running backs look very fast and powerful. Or we just can't tackle....

I think when you get a good QB back there that is a threat to both run and pass (Phillips?) and some more OLine, you'll have a very effective offense. Romo looked really good running the ball, really good. But he didn't look comfortable throwing the ball.

I'm starting to understand why some of ya'll are calling for a 2 QB set. Romo is like another running back, and he could roll out and pass it or run it. Could be very effective, but I don't know if that's something you put in during the season. Did they work on anything like that during the spring?

I thought the officiating crew reviewed Henderson's fumble in the booth. Since they didn't overturn it, they must have gotten it right.

Nope. They blew the call. He had been stopped and was being shoved backward. Forward progress was LONG since stopped. There are a lot of much quicker whistles than that one.

But that's sour grapes at this point. Time to move on.

Go Mustangs! Beat the little froggies!

Right, the problem was the late whistle and not the fumble call. Since the officials did not blow the play dead then it was a fumble.
Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!!
