Don't you have a site? #HammerDown
Re: OT. . . Scout/Pony Stampede?I almost reached out to SB Nation before the season to start a SMU bball blog, but I was worried about the amount of time I'd be able to spend on it.

Re: OT. . . Scout/Pony Stampede?Blogs suck. Rivals and Scout make their money off recruiting-and more recruiting-with a little bit of inside team coverage like practice reports thrown in. Nobody is going to pay for just team coverage, players stories and cute little rosters and schedules when you can get that for free all over the internet. They pay for recruiting and inside team stories not available on the internet. That's their model of success. The SID can't cover this under NCAA rules and the DMN won't cover this because it doesn't interest a broad audience so Rivals and Scout fill the void left by NCAA rules and the media''. The only sites making money are recruiting first sites.
As for EJ who gets the last laugh from those claiming he's not a journalist. HaHa. E.J. was the best we've had-the first reporter of SMU sports that actually told the truth like at big time programs. His critics are the suck-ups who either don't understand college athletics or have their head so far up the [deleted] of the coaches that they don't want to ruffle any feathers. Too bad he wasn't around from 1989-2008 to shake up this naive and sleeping alumni base up. I will say SMU's alumni has come a long way in understanding the expectations of a college athletic program. This place used to be shockingly out of touch with reality. "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
