There are no specifics being mentioned, nor has anyone mentioned smu's current staff. It's the state of college basketball. Outof town Unofficials are as dirty as the day is long. It's not even up for debate

Basically unofficial is just a game visit or a coach drop-in. But for SMU it could be a big advantage since so many FB and BB players are in our backyard

anytime these discussions become a contest between who has the most "big dog inside info" on recruiting, it always turns into this little childish crap between Hoop and Stallion. Getting a bit old.
Stallion - Hoop knows more than you about basketball recruiting - he lives it. A bit of a blow hard- but whatever Hoop - Don't put insinuations of anything elicit on our board - you don't really know, and its just dumb - even if you think it doesn't matter.

Not that. I just see this thread getting a black horseshoe if your squabble with Stallion gets any more heated. At the same time, I don't think there's any benefit to be gained in insinuating that SMU is possibly following the "industry standard".

This is not unique to SMU. Anyone that's ever been through any sort of collegiate recruiting process can attest to this. I was joking with my NCAA watchdog comment on message boards if that's what people are freaking out over.

I'd prefer HoopmanX give examples of Maryland exploits....not smu.
Turgeon or Williams. The floor is yours. Lived in Dc for years, would love to hear about it.

Lets do so with some legitimacy to the thread. In your AAU opinion, would the topic in question (Myles Turner to SMU) be suprising or ridiculous given what you know? If so or not, why?

Is this such an under the radar thing because everyone wants it to be a shock to the world? Are the teams that are being listed as front runners being listed just so that it will be more of a shock to the world when MT declares: "I think I'm going to go to S-M-U..."
