BTW, there is another heavy poster that uses the same avatar, in case you wanted to differentiate yourself.

Thanks! It's nice to have a place to talk with fellow Mustang fans! Changed the avatar, don't want to confuse anyone!

I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually really respect Rick Pitino. That said, it's awesome that our students got under his skin.

So what changed your mind? His comments?

I thought his comments were right on the money, kind of amusing. I believe the hecklers probably appreciate his comments don't you think?

Yup. This. I laughed when he made his half-time comment. That was funny as [deleted]. No coach ever mentions a crowd like that at half-time. So obviously he heard them. As for Louisville fans being Kentucky fans, they are so far from that it isn't even funny. Louisville fans are tame in comparison. If you think they're the same, you've never run across Kentucky fans where they sell out a 21,000 seat gym and scalp FREE tickets to a scrimmage.

That's probably true. I don't really worry about the personal lives of people I don't know personally though. He's just a coach to me. And a damn good one.

Arguably the best college coach. Could've just reeled off championship after championship with Kentucky, was close to a 3 peat at UK from 96-98. He left after 97, but they lost in OT in the championship and the following year won it when Tubby was coaching. Dude can flat out win, brought Louisville back from the grave when he got there.

 I see Kentucky fans as more like the cast and characters from "Justified." At least most Louisville fans don't call double-wides " home. ".

Gotcha, thanks. Is his main line "this quickie won't require a lawyer?"

What's the deal with Applebee's? Pitino's tryst with Karen Sypher took place in a restaurant called Porcini.

Pitino is an incredible coach, just has character flaws.

Kentucky fans are some of THE best fans in College Basketball. If you want to see what it is like, go to away game and see how many travel. It is super impressive.
