WOW! Darius is a stud. We will be lucky to keep him.

btw, no way he is only a 3 star recruit. IMO, he is our 2nd 4 star recruit in this class

I 100% agree, I went to the game yesterday and every time this kid got the ball you could hear the Allen half of the stadium gasp.

This kid is really special. Excited to see him at SMU.

I don't think Alex or I were exaggerrating our description of his play in the Title Game-he was literrally a threat to go the distance every time he touched the ball.

I was at the game. And watching it on tape or TV does not show all he was capable of. He was the star of stars at that game. Allen has 2 guys going to A&M. His QB is going to Miami. They can't even touch this kid. Only one on the field who played his position in the same level was Bonsu from Allen. Allen only rushed 3 most of the night, and he kept getting into the backfield.

Sat in a suite with OU group. They didn't know he was going to SMU until I told them. the reaction was WOW!!!!

With Allen up 21-7, they kicked off to Johnson. A couple of other kickoffs they had others back there. Allen kicked it the full distance, and right to Johnson. He took off and was run out 75 yards later. One in the group I was with, rooting for Allen, start screaming......" don't kick it to him don't kick it to him"

reminded me of Malcolm Williams WR at Texas. Just not as big, but very explosive and a ball hawk who can run.

As a first hand observer of this game I can say that I have not seen one player so dominate a football game at this level in a long time. The kid is just phenomenal. However, the reason why Hightower lost this game is that they had nothing else on offense. Allen finally got smart and started to jam Darrius at the line. He is not strong enough to break the jam at this point with his size. The other thing Allen had available was a kid who is just as fast in Jeremy Reeves. He was #5 who made the great play in the back of the end zone to deny Hightower another touchdown. He was also who caught Darrius on the long kickoff return. He has committed to Iowa State but I heard that his step dad was rethinking that decision with the change in coaches.

With that said, if you can get the ball into his hands with any kind of space he is just deadly. He has great field vision, has a wicked stiff arm, blazing speed, and soft hands. All I know is that he will be returning kicks for us opening day next year. If Hightower actually had a QB who could throw then he would be all world. Darrius is a better WR than EZ Nwachukwu who is going to Texas A&M and is supposed to be a 4 Star WR.
