With TCU, WashSt, Houston, and Tulsa all at Ford next year, should be the best home schedule in some time.

Man I wish we had one more year before we opened a season up in Lubbock.
We need this CUSA championship game for the extra practice time. Go Mustangs. BEAT MARSHALL!

Most likely looking at 1-3 to start the season next year. Ugh..unless we can stop Navy's running attack.

Wish we could fill up a few more cupcakes in the nonconference.

The more cupcakes.... the less respect when we win.

no more cupcakes...unless you put UNT in that category. We are renewing with UNT and I'd much rather play the greenies than SFA or SHSU. UNT will generate a decent crowd and you have to love that "conspiracy theory" thing they have going against us.

But we would win more by playing cupcakes right? Respect comes in time after a solid program is built.

I am excited we are strengthening the schedule, but we won't gain any respect losing, even closely losing to big 12 schools. look at baylor - are they respected?

Better than taking the chance of losing to a cupcake.

couldn't agree more. just saying sos alone doesn't gain respect outside the bubble.

I hate to break the news, but we are the cupcake. Things are changing but when Tech schedules a game with the 116 ranked team (at the time), it was not us scheduling big, they were scheduling a cupcake. Hopefully we can be an Appalachin State.

Conference play is what matters for us.
Who cares who we play before then. WIN THE CONFERENCE.
Going 2-2 would be reasonable if this team is really turning the corner, but we went 1-3 this year and are still bowling.

when your conference is considered "inferior", you need to schedule as many BCS programs as possible. Houston represented CUSA well in beating OSU and Tech this year. We all need to be doing our parts in helping CUSA gain respectability. We should be in position to compete with BCS programs in another couple of years

I say in another year. Not a couple.

let's see how we do against Tech next year. Hope you are right. I expect us to beat Wash St, but I just want them to be ready by the time we face A & M and Baylor in 2011 & 2012
