We would of easily had 3 or 4 thousand more fans on a good night with walk ups from both sides. The old and parents with young children were shut out by the cold miserable rain.

great job by those who showed up last night (and especially those who stayed until the end). Haven't seen conditions like that since the road game in Annapolis in June's 1st year. Have to admit that even I left that one midway through the 4th quarter

let's hope the guys can win one and regain some confidence next week. I'm concerned that we might not see another 20k crowd the rest of this home season. Sure hope the marketing boys are working on some Russ Potts magic and doing whatever it takes to get some butts in the seats for the remaining games

We will not have anywhere near 20K butts in seats for the remaining home games.

I imagine we will be lucky to have 12-15k in the stands for the rest of our home games. Want a good picture of how full our stadium will be. Find a pic of the Rice game a couple of weeks ago.. looked like all of 2k.

After this pathetic showing (including the others), JJ will have no one to complain to. I feel bad for the players, and I will be there at every game. For all the faithful players, faithful fans, and everyone loyally an SMU person, we will be disappointed by the future performance given the trend and the empty stands for the remainder of the season. This was the turning point game, and Patterson truly was helping us out that game, and JJ and the WRs threw up on it. I expect 15,000 (at best) to show up to each home game possibly 10,000 when it gets colder. This figure wont change despite if we win every game from now, the fact is we choked when it matter most. Time to put expectations to the side until a new coach comes with new big bad recruits....

You mean you'd walk up to the ticket office, and buy a $65 ticket to go to that game in the
middle of tropical storm during an earthquake :?: :!: :!: :!:

Oh wait.... I'm sorry.

We’ve averaged 26,860 for the first 3 home games. Better than usual. We can't help the rain which probably keeps that number down by about a thousand averages. We put some winds together and we have decent home attendance for the rest of the year. UTEP is a huge game. The biggest of the season. We need this win more than any other right now.

1) attendance came from visitors
2) why in the world is UTEP a big game? If its to see how far we've fallen, then I can see it
