Wear blue jerseys and this will look nice, actually.
W/red it will look not as great.

I like the red facemasks. It will be interesting to see what color jersey they pick.

I hope they wear the blue jerseys.

I've only seen SMU wear red jerseys with red helmets once. That was at the first SMU game I
ever saw in person as a 10 year old kid in 1962. Mac White, and Danny Thomas with the helmets
with the standing up Pony decal like Ponyte's icon beat Arkansas with darker red helmets with
numbers instead of the hog decals 14 - 7 :!:

BTW, wearing the blue jerseys would look a lot like my indycar icon.

But we need the blue.

Pretty much everyone agrees that red helmets on blue would look awesome. So we will probably go red on red tomorrow

I'm always more than a little surprised by the uniform police on this board. Of all of the things to complain about... The amount of time spent complaining about the uniforms blows my mind. I don't care which combination we wear... As long as the kids like it, I'm on board.

Uniform Rollouts: As far as the new uniform roll out goes. I would rather they do one of two things. 1) Make it a PR event in advance. Get the cheerleaders and the band to present the uniforms at a local alumni event. Use it as an opportunity to energize the local alumni. It would be better to do it at an event where the media is going to be there anyway. 2) Don't say anything. Just show up and play in whatever uniform you choose to wear. Let the talking heads, PFs and crowd pass judgment at game time. Oddly enough this would probably create more media buzz than anything else since we didn't give the TV people a heads up.

Tennessee did that during the Lane Kiffin era- no one had any idea, and after warmups they came out onto the field for the game in black uniforms and the place went wild. That would be cool.

But then no one can complain about how cheap and ugly they are before they see them.

As I mentioned in UCLA thread check out Washington's helmets. I'm pretty sure they are wearing the Saran wrap. Check Linemen in closeups

They look bad up close. Not a fan of them from a distance either. The light shines too bright off them. It's like watching lightbulbs running around.

Oh and whether you like them or hate them, Darren Rovell and KegsNEggs have given them the seal of approval, so they've generated more pop culture waves than the program has in a long time.

Hey, if anyone is a fan of that look and knows how to post photos, please do.
Thanks!

Red helmets? Not sure anyone (EVER!) has suggested red helmets. My guess is that AD office has heard our alternate uniform/helmet requests, but found that the cheapest option is a plain red helmet (as opposed to chrome) with our blue jerseys from the RU game - rather than commissioning Nike to actually design something cool.

I get it - it's all about $. But not sure I've ever seen any poster on here or on other sites suggest a red helmet - unless it was the plain red from the way, way way old days.

Let's not p*ssyfoot around here. Blue jersey are great with white helmets. Old school PE look.

Alternate shoudl be regualr jersey with chrome helmet (sponsored by Ford Motors!).

The best version I've ever seen were the mockups on pf.com.

The blue and red mockups he did are knockouts as well!
