We would have heard something by now. He's not going anywhere.

I agree that Tuesday would be a good day for an announcement. Have to get the attorneys involved tomorrow; don't want to announce on NFL Sunday or even NFL Monday Night for that matter. With a bye week, Tuesday gives the remaining staff a little time to regroup. I'm hopeful that JJ announces his "resignation" Tuesday and puts a positive spin on it as part of his severance agreement.

This is SMU we're talking about. They don't/haven't do/done anything fast. I agree that the best "quick" solution is remove him as head coach and assign him some other non-football function, until the legal and money people decide what to do.

I thought you were going to go with Hawaii volleyball players.

While we all want to see Jones go, we do recognize that Turner is very deliberate. If he decides Jones community outreach or whatever other activities he does are visible and beneficial to Turners view of what the university should be, he will not approve any termination of Jones. Likewise, a key reason to have a good hire and program is to improve it and improve the players we get. So, while it is key to express our desire to get Jones out of town ASAP, make sure that doesn't mean you don't attend home games. Bring a #FireJuneJones sign and make sure it gets on tv. Yell. But support the players on the field because they are the unlucky ones caught in the middle here. If I lived in Dallas, I would be there to support the team AND voice my feelings on Jones.

I have no problem with Jones continuing his community outreach. Just get him away from the football team.

Exactly. Get him and Phillips and all of his incompetent, arrogant cronies away from the players immediately. The only reason we keep Mason as an interim HC is because I actually think he dislikes Jones, would toss the R&S out the window immediately, and the kids would play hard for him the rest of the season.

Take a poll of the players and parents and I would bet 100% would agree with Jones immediate dismissal.

It's that bad folks. Who cares about freakin community outreach, his outreach doesn't even extend from his office to his own locker room! I can only imagine the vitriol and negativity that will accompany our next home game if we have to sit through another 60-0 beatdown with June on the sidelines, in his black shirt, expressionless, arms crossed, calling the same 2 yard outs and draw plays!

ASU redux....does June get away with it again?

Yeah....we have to come to the realization that, absent boosters speaking with their pens, phones, or pockets, Turner will not proactively address this situation.

Just curious; what has changed for some of you? Anyone who was at the Houston game last year could see the exact same ineptitude, unpreparedness and total staff give-up that we have seen this year. Many of you thought June was still A-OK.

quite simply- RGT doesn't give a crap about fball. Don't expect anything anytime soon. maybe at the end of the season something will happen.
Best thing to do is let him know you will cancel all donations to the MC and also any promised donations to his 'unbridled campaign'. He only understands $$$$. If fans can create 'financial chaos' then he will get the idea and just maybe do something.

Are you that close to the players that you know the players want Jones gone, or is that just conjecture?

Nothing - I've wanted him gone for some time. In fact my prediction for the season was 2-10 with a distinct possibility of 0-12.

What about a kick-starter campaign named "Turner, here is our donation money, make a coaching change by XX/XX/2014 and it's yours"?
