^^^^^Yes!
Also - might be time to proclaim SMU is the Best in Texas when it comes to BBall.
Or how about a shout-out sign to our incoming ... Shake, Semi, etc...
You do know that Baylor is ranked above us, and that Texas was for the majority of the season, right?
So was TCU...
BTW - SMU has better record than both Baylor and TX - both this year and last. I think we can make a claim...[/quote]
Record doesn't mean squat. The b12 is the best conference in the country top to bottom. American is not close...
Now that I look at TX schedule and see their impressive wins against UCONN, Cal, TCU, TSU, and a load of crap teams early in the schedule, I am convinced (Boy those teams sound familiar).
You are right Lebanese - we are not that good - I will bring my:

Blame the NCAA, not UNC.
Love the godfather signs and robo brown. This is the time for us to BRAND SMU to the larger espn watching community. Let's show them what we do - hot girls, rich kids, basketball fanatics, the mob, etc.
Kevin Ollie head on Richard Sherman body with "U Mad Bro?"
Hahaha, really? Petty? Running a degree mill designed to abuse the system with institutional oversight and seemingly approval (by their lack of action) from the NCAA is petty and in bad taste. Mocking that is pointing out that were the UNC incident (if you can call over a decade of that an incident) perpetuated by SMU, we would probably lose our entire athletic program. Some could say pointing out that it all began while Dean Smith was still the head coach and involved players who helped him win his 2nd national championship is in bad taste...but it wouldn't be an issue if they actually investigated it before now. The NCAA has a lot of blame...but I don't recall them making UNC give away free grades in 2 disciplines for years.
Get the SMU stuff out there, but have fun too. Absolutely nothing wrong with a few signs making fun of UNC and PSU and OSU and the alphabet soup of state institutions who instill fine lessons in ethics upon their students...so long as you link it to Brian Williams and his reporting on Moses parting the seas.
Dean Smith just passed away. Possibly the most beloved figure in my state and certainly in UNC circles. If you don't understand that posting signs about UNC a few days after his death is petty then i can't help you. It comes off as very petty, small and frankly it looks stupid.
Again, blame the NCAA for not enforcing their rules. That makes more sense.
I get it - I am also mad at the double standards the NCAA uses in enforcement of large schools vs smaller ones like SMU. It stinks. The fact that PSU didn't get the DP is laughable, if the circumstances weren't so tragic.
But I don't get how making signs about it helps. Those schools are not our rivals - so it would just confuse most people. I'd prefer you don't embarrass my alma mater by looking like a jealous little biatch on national tv, talking about how unfair it all is.
I have helped out with a little photoshop work. PM me if you want me to send you 1920px x 1920px version. If you would like to have this printed, I have access to a large format printer and will gladly have it made. At the end of the day, this sign must be at Moody on Saturday morning and do not mind at all doing the leg work if you don't mind me using your witty humor. I am more than happy giving you the sign to hold before Gameday starts.

I'm all in favor of funny signs that are lighthearted and not bitter (a la the NCAA stuff), and also a few serious signs. Like it would be cool to have a sign that had Dean Smith and Larry Brown with "Legends" or something similar below it.
I also think it would be funny (thanks to the poster who mentioned crayons) to put a picture of a crayon next to the words "official writing utensil of UNC Athletes". And yes that probably sounds counterproductive to the above suggestion to honor Dean Smith, but I think a little lighthearted poking fun at the scandal is not akin to tearing down a great coach.
I also think you could make a relevant joke about the recent news of Rece Davis replacing Chris Fowler for Gameday. Something like a picture of Rece with a caption like "fresh meat" or some other funny slogan.
