After Tulsa, it's Trojans, TCU, at K-St and then OU.

we will know shortly.

That was the least physical Herman/Orlando team that I have seen in a while. Really disappointing performance for UT, especially on the defensive end. That said, the Maryland frosh was outstanding.

Houston's LB and secondary looked awful. The consistently had Rice in 3rd and 7+ early in the game and couldn't get off the field. Offense opened things up in the second half and their athleticism won the game. But that wasn't a good show by Applewhite. They should have beaten Rice by 28. Worse defense will be a step back for them this season. Good news for us.

Villanova - Temple should be a wake-up call about Temple. Two years of recruiting without Matt Rhule might be starting to have an impact. Something to keep an eye on. The Eastern conference might just be UCF and USF, with UCF clearly dominant. West may allow Memphis to separate this year, with Navy, Houston, and perhaps SMU the next bunch of teams.

Disappointing loss for App State against Penn State, after taking them to OT.

Cincinnati wins AT UCLA 26-17; probably the most impressive win for any AAC team in week one.

I get a kick out of every time a school schedules Patty Cake and gets their [deleted] whipped. Love it
I think every Head Coach that loses to a lower division school should be immediately relegated to a lower division

My bride is an FSU alum...we lived through the "Wide___/_____" games with the Hurricanes. FSU left 4 National Championships on the field with those losses.

As a result, she grimly smiles each time the 'Canes get curb-stomped...I hope I never get her really mad at me...
