Re: Chad Morris --- Love seeing CM Blow a big lead
I think his departure was not classy, and revealed some character issues. However you can't deny he inherited a dumpster fire and righted the ship to at least average. We got what we wanted and he got what he wanted,
What I take issue with is that he was promised something he didn't get. He was very well paid and had several rounds of hat passing for several pet projects. If you are referring to the indoor practice facility, that was not a part of his contract, and to suggest otherwise is trying to revise history to CYA.

Re: Chad Morris --- Love seeing CM Blow a big lead
He lost me me with the Domestic Violence Night as a pitch to get the Baylor job. Do you the he's doing one of those at Arky? Pathetically transparent.
The fact he could figure out how to stay in the same zip code against Memphis soured the enthusiasm quiet a bit.
Leaving in a throughly classless way makes the schadenfreude more enjoyable. How hard would it have been to at least fake appreciation to SMU for the opportunity. Evidently too hard when you have hashtags to recycle.

I disagree that he left SMU an average team. The average record only existed because of an easy schedule and a questionable call. An average team can beat a better team now and then, and he had only one great win in three years, against Houston. He left SMU with no defense and no depth. And I will never forgive him for bolting before the bowl game. First of all, it cost me money because I had to change my daughter's plane ticket, which would have been ok if it had been a good experience for her. But it wasn't. It was horrible. While you could cuss and scowl and turn off the tv or leave early, she was forced to smile and cheer throughout the whole nightmare and for that I am pissed. I feel for those boys on the field, poor kids. So for me it's personal.

Re: Chad Morris --- Love seeing CM Blow a big lead
Sour grapes. You all liked him until he left.
That said, I did not like the Baylor flirtation (too soon for a troubling situation), nor the way Traylor was handled which I believe was a shot called by Chad.
My issue is the wasted anger towards someone who was who we knew he was rather than just letting him go. He was here, we improved, he is gone.
Now, for you haters I have some fodder for you. Listening to the morning local sports shows, one astute host wants to appeal to the NCAA for lack of institutional control to remove Chad. He also suggests that in lieu of kneeling for the National Anthem, Razorback fans should kneel for the Alma mater.
But even with all of that, those that cover the team acknowledge that Beliema left the team with nothing and used the term ΓÇ£war crimeΓÇ¥ much akin to the June Jones end of era.
I am done. Those that choose to hate go right ahead. Me, I am looking ahead to hopefully successful Sonny days.

No love for Chad but I'm very glad Sonny D is here

He left us with no defense? Why is our defense actually good now? We didnΓÇÖt even have nelson vs michigan and we looked like the 85 bears compared to the van malone [deleted]

Not after the first year he was here. And when I shook his hand , he looked right past me (not directly in the eyes).
That's usually a dead giveaway that the person is a phoney.........and that shoe fits him

Excited when he came here. He and Herman were the ΓÇ£hot chicksΓÇ¥ that year. After the JJ debacle, it meant we still were relevant. We all knew this was a stepping stone for him. But the way he left was totally wrong. 1. Taking staff before a program building bowl game. 2. Went to Arkansas. ThatΓÇÖs as classless as Herman going to UT. 3. Cherrypicking committed recruits. It put Dykes in a position of dumping recruits and that he left cupboard empty. I donΓÇÖt see him succeeding in Hogville. SEC is too tough to have continuous success required by Arkansas fans.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I hope they run him out of town and he ends up working with JJ in Canada. Lol
They find out they have black mold in their new house. His dog gets cataracts.
And Redbull is discontinued
Same thing goes for Frost in Nebraska but at least he had enough class to come back and Coach the bowl game.

Because acknowledging that he would move on eventually does not mean we were complicit in his trying to spend the least amount of time possible here. We thought he wanted to build a team here, turn it around, and then move on. He just wanted to take the $$ and bolt as soon as possible.

Hog fans have had NO "continuous success" since they bolted from the SWC. They had 3 great years at the inception in basketball with Nolan Richardson and zip in football. Classic case of grass is greener complex. Having spent more than a year at Ak in post graduate work I fully understand their fans, but this is a case where a new conference relegates them to continuous middle to bottom of the pack status. Same situation with MD and Rutgers in the Big 10. MD was perfectly placed for every reason in the ACC with great rivals, regional proximity and easy fan travel in both basketball and football. Now their fans can enjoy trips to Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue where they have zero commonality. Money does very strange things that does not always work out. Rutgers is hopeless in the Big 10 and was much more comfortable in the AAC. They took the money and now years later it is apparent they cannot compete in either football or basketball and have never had a history of the commitment necessary to ever catch up.

Wow, I never believed that. He needed head coaching experience so he could move on. I thought he would stay one more year, but he actually tried to leave one year earlier.
