Sonny Dykes to TCU??

Re: Sonny Dykes to TCU??
There are several crazy bowl scenario possibilities...TCU potentially could be eligible for a bowl...How about we play them again? Share him each possession...
Truth is (as stated before) what HCSD does will come out sometime soon. We will find another coach if he leaves, we will give thanks and salve collective egos if he doesn't. Our control over this is virtually zero, so citing the old Jewish proverb: "If you have no control over your outcome, act bravely". No [deleted] and moaning.
My goal is to buy tickets to SMU football next year for the first time in 21 years and make the roundtrip to home games. I had a great time at the Tulane game, and a not so great time at UH.
Great memories then and now...and I believe in the coming days as well.

And then an SMU alumni revolt to boot.

Shane Beamer, rumored to be on Va Tech's short list, made it very clear he loves it at S.C. and wants to stay in Columbia. His guys respond by beating Auburn to become bowl eligible in his 1st season there after they won only 2 games last year. That would not be difficult for Sonny to do if he loved it here at SMU

He at least is coaching next week for you as well as help clean up the house before he leaves (i.e. leave on good terms). The announcement will be on the 29th, though leaks likely before.

There is no such thing as leaving on good terms if you bolt to the rival school.

Sonny Dykes to TCU??
If you really, really hate TCU and delight in horned frog suffering and misfortune, then you really, really want Dykes to be their next football coach. TCU is going to get Morrised in the worst way.
If you really, really want SMU football to depart from mediocrity and futility (as unlikely as that might be under any circumstances), then you will rejoice in the impending absence of Dykes.

A long tradition of existence.

An comparison of Sonny Dykes to Chad Morris is totally without merit. Just look at what Morris did for SMU and Arkansas compared to what Dykes has done for SMU.

I'M really thinking TCU will wait for someone who can take a small private school back to the level
GP took you to in his prime.
I don't see Sonny DeLight winning any Rose Bowls in the next decade for anybody by gambling on a
few transfer portal guys.
May the forth be with us.

Yup, that's what happened with JJ. Recruiting went downhill. He had a couple of bad losses at
Baylor and UNT. He told us to sticket up our tail pipe

May the forth be with us.

Sure there is. He was at TCU before leaving for SMU. Left on good terms.

The deal is done. Napier (1st choice) just flirted with us and is leveraging all the openings for LSU or FL. Gary suggested Sonny as the replacement (having coached with him prior) and he became the favorite.
