With this defense, and last years offense, we might have won this game

Not if we go for 4th and 5 on our own 30 down 2 scores with half a quarter left :!:

Updated: Still one of many dumb gambles dating back to the Snaykes years which has knocked us out of or put us in danger of losing 5+ games. If he's addicted to extreme gambling (on the field), at least he could come up with fake punt gadget plays instead of telegraphing the opponent we're going for it.

We should be disappointed with the result because there was a window there for the upset. But YAAAAS… Pony showed up. Way to go Team.

Weird questionable decision making by coach.
Maybe you can call it being a bit too aggressive?
Where is Levine? He needs to be out there more. He was awesome last season and now he hardly gets on the game.
Receivers were basically invisible.
Letting someone pick your pocket on that long run for a turnover was ridiculous. Take care of the ball and go down. Don’t try and get an extra 1-3yds. Dumb.
Refs seemingly tried to keep the Ponies in the game.

Are you kidding :?: Half a quarter anything can happen.

I asked that earlier: where was Levine on shirt yardage downs.

Just about even in total yards. The blocked punt, the fumble after the long run, and predictable 1st down play calling on our part sealed the deal. Pleasantly surprised that we were only 3 points behind as late in the game as our TD came.

Don’t want to be overly harsh, but I think this game was lost before it started. We had a mentality to try to keep it close. Hope that changes moving forward. Tired of moral victories.

Really bad play calling cost us a chance. Running up the middle every first down. No play action. No RPO. OC needs to step it up. Kids played well.

Having now seen our first two games, my uneducated opinion is we lose to TCU and 2 conference games.

If it’s Casey Woods doing the play calling, Lashlee needs to seriously evaluate if he should take over the play calling. If it’s Lashlee in charge, we’re in trouble moving forward with any competitive teams.

Agreed Arkpony...I struggle if it will be 9-3 or 8-4.

This season could be our last chance to win a conference title for a long time.

Every. Time.

Even most second downs as well. Get behind the chains. Throw it on 3rd.

Rinse
