I think they had 35 transfers and many of those from former P5 programs so they might be a lot better than most people expected. At least from trying to watch on TV it sure looked like our WRs were having a hard time getting any separation and their DL whipped our OL more often than not.

Stone is not an ACC caliber player. AAC yes, ACC no. Coaching staff to blame for not bringing in a better option through the portal.

I know this is a little late but how cool is it that the Dallas Stars posted this on their Instagram?

He is an above average ACC QB. Compare as the season goes on.

There was a lot to dislike in this one, but the Jordan Hudson head slap and Crossley getting tossed (and suspended for the first half this week) for spitting were real lowlights for me. Come on guys, you need to show more professionalism than that. The head slap was the only notable thing Hudson did in the whole game really, which is not good. And that fact that the spitting incident took Nevada from punting on 4th and 15 to a touchdown drive was really infuriating.
I think Lashlee said it really well when he said there's a difference between passion and emotion, and that we were playing with emotion but not passion.

Either their corners a elite or our receiver corps is mediocre. I did notice Preston underthrew a few passes allowing corners to catch up to wide outs. Clearly RJ was left guarded by safeties which was a win for us. Total lack of discipline in this game on our part. I didn't see the Crossley spitting incident on TV, so I am not sure if it was intentional or unintentional. He reacted as though it was unintentional. You get even by winning, not acting stupid. The refs see the retaliation. I'm wondering if the wind and cold weather in the first quarter affected Stone. Later on he seemed more accurate. And they Maryland throw was perfect. Our OL was adequate pass blocking, but terrible at run blocking. Too many holding penalties which needs to be cleaned up. We had trouble with a mobile QB, again. They seemed to do better as the game went on, but something to watch for.
I do think Nevada is better than advertised and think they will make a splash in the MWC. That did not look like a 2 win team.

I think Lashlee also mentioned that our guys said the Nevada players were the ones initiating the spitting and our guys were responding? That may have been the case with Hudson because 3 players were flagged for personal fouls but I don't know what the deal was with Crossley. I just know he was really upset on the sideline after getting tossed.

I agree about Nevada. Not sure how good the rest of the MWC is, but just from what I have seen, they are much improved, and I don't think Vegas figured that in.
