Ate at Twisted Root Burger Co. in Deep Ellum (on Commerce, across the street from Adair's) on Friday night. Excellent burger - everything is fresh and they use high quality ingredients.

Finally made it to National Sports Lounge.
Their referee act is kind of cheesy, and the fries suck, but the burger was pretty decent. I'd give it a 6 (on a 1-10 scale).

Craving the original Point Burger.
Any word on the rumor that the place might reopen under new management?
All the best to our friend Mr. Bailey.

Had a burger at Ozona's the other day.
Next time, it's club sandwich or quesadillas. Bleah.

Good god, man. You actually ate FOOD (or what they try to pass off as food) at Ozona's?

A sad day in the world of good burgers and better beer. Just got an e-mail from the owner of the Tipperary In that included this:
"Due to the downturn in the economy with declines in sales and an unsuccessful lease renegotiation, we have decided to close our doors. These past five years have been a great experience for us. We have met and have special relationships with so many wonderful people here - we will greatly miss you all. We will certainly treasure many of the memories and special occasions that we have hosted at the pub."
That really sucks â€" I loved that place. Here's hoping they have the chance to reopen one of these days. All the best to those who ran that wonderful bar.

Just called 'em. Their last day of operations will be THIS SATURDAY, MAY 16th! They'll be opening early at noon and staying open until 2 a.m. (Sunday). I asked if there was anything that patrons could do to help them stay open but the manager said, "No. It's FINAL!"
