That's because it is made with cane sugar and not corn syrup. It do make a difference.

Most beers are better than either one.
WTF? Dr Pepper was invented in Texas. Coke was invented in Georgia. Isn't that in Russia?

I was in New Orleans last month and we were dining at a small cafe in the French Quarter. I ordered a Dr Pepper. The waitress returned with our drinks and started naming them off as she set them in front of us. "Coke", "Sprite", "Iced tea", etc. She got to me and said "Mr. Pibb." I said, "No, I ordered a Dr Pepper" to which she said "Mr. Pibb is the same thing." She quickly got a lesson from me that - no - it is NOT the same thing. It ticks me off that the Coke folks have brainwashed these waiters and waitresses into thinking it's the same thing when - clearly - it is not.

Sure wish Ford Stadium and Moody Coliseum served Dr Pepper products instead of Coke products.

The only DP worthy of consideration is...

Dublin Dr. Pepper

What makes us unique? Besides being the oldest Dr Pepper bottler in the world, Dublin Dr Pepper also has the distinction of being bottled with Imperial Pure Cane Sugar - the original Dr Pepper formula.

Had my first in Cow Town last year and have been craving more ever since!

You can order it off the internet.

Or you can do what I do from time to time - drive out to Old Doc's Soda Shop in Dublin and have them make it for you by hand...if you would like stronger Dr Pepper, you can have them add extra syrup, etc.

Had a "Works" burger at Jake's yesterday. Far better than any other I've had there, and the best burger I've had anywhere in a long time. Extremely impressive.

Great burgers at Jake's.
Scenery isn't bad, either.

Stan's makes a pretty good burger. It's even better now that you can taste something other than second hand smoke in there.

ok, initially there were a lot of businesses that closed or suffered...most of them being in fringe suburbs that i generously associated the name of chicago with.
