Actually, that Harvard uni was "our uniform" for more than two decades (minus the stripes on the helmet). I guess you can say we may have beat'em to the punch. Pure classic from the "Glory Years".

There you go, home run in my opinion.
Shouldn't the legs on at least one of the models be a little darker just to be a little more pc?

Almost perfect. Put on a red face mask for the helmet, add the mustang logo on the sleeves and add numbers on the shoulder pads. Think Miami Dolphins uniforms but with the puke green and orange replaced with red and blue.

I'm a "newbie" to the boards, so please forgive. Regarding the uniforms, we know that they'll change (almost ALL coaches change helmets/uniforms when they come to a school). Several years ago, I had designed uniforms that were semi-throwback to the glory years of the 1940s-50s, with khaki pants featuring the red running mustang outlined in blue on the hips, red jerseys with white numbers outlined in blue (white with red numbers outlined in blue on the road) and red helmets with red masks and the white mustang outlined in blue. Those were featured on my website at one time, at:

(sorry for the shameless plug).....
The 1973-75 Dave Smith "Ohio State" years silver helmets were very bad. I found it interesting that whereas Hayden Fry used a great deal of blue, Dave Smith went opposite spectrum and used blue only in the stripes of the helmet...
The best look for SMU, in my opinion, was the 1976 and 1977 seasons under Ron Meyer when they wore red jerseys at home, and debuted blue jerseys (with sleeve stripes) for two home games in 1977. I remember them in the Tulane game of that year while sitting in the upper deck of the Cotton Bowl. This was before the weird year of 1978 in which SMU wore the white mesh-style jerseys for home/road, and the stripes on the pants no longer matched the helmets, and were divided....
Bring back the 1976 look! Great look, with lots of red.

I would definitely like the combination of pony express uniforms with red jerseys instead of blue.

FWMustang. Are you able to draw some virtual images of the retro uniforms you have done already but with the Navy Blue and Crimson colors that we now have? How about the retro helmet but to look like the Miami Dolphins Helmet and with a Navy Blue facemask? Like our 2000-2002 Helmets but with Navy Blue Facemask.
