looks like smu and uofh beat out temple.
I would suspect that Boise would want more western partners and that would carry more weight with the BE since they know that Boise is key to future AQ status. Though, local politics may have prevailed.
If UConn goes to ACC then Temple is still there.

Exactly you can always grab Temple, they have nowhere else to go.

Why grab temple even then? Still other schools to go after. If UCONN leaves in a few more years (meaning ESPN tells the ACC to let them in), perhaps Army will feel ready to join. Would be great to have all three service academies, lets just try to keep SMU from weaning those awfully made black jerseys to "honor" them.

Yes, there could be Tulsa in the west, or ECU or USM in the East.

AP says UCF navy Boise and air force get invites.

With potentially three teams leaving the CUSA, perhaps we can get a bulk discount on the exit fee.

I saw that USF had to agree and play UCF for a few years as part of its exit. Playing a few more against Rice is fine with me. OOC opens up with navy being in conference.

Plenty of schools to choose, not to mention Nova contemplating to move up (same city as temple).

The circumstantial evidence is in SMU/UH's favor. Obvious benefits, and Boise wants it. Current member(s) don't want Temple. Plus, SMU is awfully appealing to the bball wing of that conference, I would imagine.
In a bat-sh*t crazy world, those four from west of the Mississippi makes the most sense.

It feels like things are about to go our way.
SMU in a BCS AQ conference. Sounds nice.
