One would think we could block out on occasion.

Down 14 at home to Rice, halfway thru the second, is disgusting.

Really a poor effort. Poor shooting but even worse is the poor defense.

Re: Official SMU/Rice Thread
I think it will take a beat down in the Big East before we get a change in coaching that could help the team.

Terrible. The ultimate responsibility falls on the coach.

I like the talent and I like the schemes. I just don't like the results.

I think it will be too late by then. We need to start building for the BE now or there will be beat downs every time we play the BE teams.

I'd like to know who we could hire that would come here that would be effective in leading us into the Big East. Because at this point, I honestly don't know.
Re: Official SMU/Rice Thread
Tommy Amaker did well at Seton Hall in the BE and knows how to win in that league. There are a few others that PonyDoh mentioned that were good as well. I think Smart was mentioned.

I'm not an expert in college basketball, but I think we have a lot to offer a good coaching candidate that has done a lot with less and would love to coach a D1 team in a metropolitan city that will soon compete in the BE. There are coaches that do a lot more with less. How was Waco able to turn their BB program around? I don't think it was the B12 either.
