Just make a strong move. Fire him because he's looking for outs, or lock him in tight if he's who you want. A 7 year-no buyout contract changes nothing, in June's mind, in a fan's mind or in a recruit's mind and everything stays the same behind the scenes.

The first year in The Big East will tell us all we need to know.

Rivals Big Ten recruiter of the year.

I do agree that we need some younger coaches, but don't assume that age automatically knocks them out as far as recruiting goes.

Now show the recruiting record for our older coaches that are 60 and over.

That's your job, not mine. If you had read the entire SENTENCE you would have seen that I agreed that we need to get some younger coaches on staff. Just making the point that age didn't necessarily mean a guy couldn't recruit. You guys are so full of hate it is pathetic.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

Not hate mathman, just reality. If we had hired an older coach with an excellent recruiting background then you would have a better point more relative to our situation.

Scout reports another couple of SMU offer/target in apparent recruiting limbo wondering why SMU Coaches haven't been in contact. This is a regular occurence for this regime

You guys all say we are full of hate, most of us don't hate anyone associated with SMU football. We are [deleted] concerned that is all. There is a big difference between hate and being concerned.

Hey Stud.. First you want Jones to give out fifty offers to Texas kids... Now you want those offers to be meaningful, solid and definitive...

With your deep research why don't you detail how the coaching staff can accomplish your goals for them (what line of crap to feed the offeree's) instead of continually complaining about what they are doing.

Yeah I want him to get off his lazy [deleted]-do his homework across the State of Texas and timely get his offers out. Just because you are a [deleted] I thought a new thread that should be discussed on here. Doesn't paint a great picture

I agree... Some of the gang need to figure that out and use some discretionary judgement.

I'd guess those are Klemm offers that nobody has followed up on. Which is a shame because he was our best recruiter so you'd assume the guys he was talking to were studs.

May not be the staff's fault, as Klemm may have not communicated with current staff after he left. But you'd think we would have a board up in the offices with a list of all of our prospects and offers, etc.

We as fans just want the best efforts to be put forth in coaching AND recruiting. The coaching is obviously there IMHO. Now we just need the recruiting efforts to match.

Not too much to ask for.

How many timely offers do you want out and by when? What 25-50-75 of the top hundred do you want to offer? Do you have a list that you can publish here of who you want on your team? Now get with it Stud..

Cut him a check for 2.5 million annually and I'm sure he'd be delighted to.

There is a concerned about our recruiting. I think a good bit of people see it, at least the ones that do not have blinders on.

Per NCAA rules, SMU (like any other school) can not be calling juniors at this time. Schools are allowed to place one phone call to them between April 15 and May 31.
