A month ago Oklahoma State was a shoe in. Now they're tanking fast and their best player has been suspended 3 games over utter stupidity. Not saying this is us, but nothing's final at this point. Plus, we lost to USF at their place, so we still have issues.
Stay positive, finish strong.
Agreed, the USF loss on the road still worries me. We need to go dominate Rutgers and Temple on the road and have a solid win over Coog High before heading out to play UConn. To me that is the game that will define where we end up in the dance.
This ^^.
Anything can happen and there's still a lot of season left. I'm not too worried about not making the tourney now, unless we have a complete meltdown in which case we wouldn't deserve it anyway (I don't think we will). HAVE to win against Rutgers, Temple, and Coogies. Then it's all about the UConn game.

Like or not, they will definitely punish SMU because there's not enough quality wins to be had. Gonzaga problem 2.0, maybe not quite as bad but it's not good. There's a definite ceiling for SMU and it probably sits around a 3 seed and that's assuming they win every game the rest of the way (Spoiler Alert: not going to happen)
As for Oklahoma State, they're basically a lock. They could lose at least 5 more and still get in, possibly more. They have quality wins and they're viewed in a completely different light. This 3 game suspension may even be a good thing. The committee is not going to dock them for losing to Oklahoma or Baylor without their best player, maybe mildly at best, so it works in their favor imo. They have everything to gain by winning, nothing to lose.

Well, I don't see anyone here predicting a run that gets SMU to a 1 to 3 seed.
But win out with one, maybe two losses vs big 4, meaning 3 or 4 more wins vs same teams if we get to AAC final of tourney, and we can hope for as high as 4-6 seed.

I am sure the team is thinking "WIN OUT"!
Kind of what I was thinking. At this point I'm not worrying about ceilings or seeds. Just win and enjoy the ride...and stay off the F'ing court! I kid, I kid.
tough two games, especially playing Nova in practically their own back yard. But hey, we win those, and it's a short trip to Memphis baby!
Eww. I don't like that drawing at all. WAY too early for any of that stuff. I just hope they can get to play in San Diego or Anaheim so I can go to a game. (my dream)

I wouldn't like starting in Buffalo either, especially with all the BBall blue bloods. We need keep winning, and it gets more promising.
I noticed this bracket has 3 American teams in same region. I would think that would be unlikely. Way too early, but this is still fun!
