Nygel King who originally committed to Houston has now committed to Utah. SMU wanted him early-would have taken commitment until we filled up

Although I'm not really covering too many decommits outside of the Texas area-special recognition goes to Jim Harbaugh and Michigan with 5 "decommitments" in one week. Yeah #loyalty
Temple had a QB decommit today but may have been recruited over
A humorous and thought provoking take on the Commitment game and whether its time to formalize recruiting offers and commitments to form an enforceable contract

I posted that comment because of my Ole Miss friends... but they would have me believe it, 'same tried and true method since Johnny Vought'!
Wasn't too funny Saturday morning when the NCAA decided to announce they were investigating 30 violations in three sports, including football, most minor, 4 days before signing date. Anyway, they blame the timing in this release well covered by ESPN, on Miss. State's former AD that now has a senior position in the SEC! After being on the receiving end for 30 years, I just couldn't resist calling their attention to it.

Isaiah Wright, a three-star wide receiver from Kingswood-Oxford (West Hartford, Conn.), has flipped from Rutgers to Temple, following an official visit to Rutgers this past weekend, he confirmed with NJ.com.
Wright told NJ.com last week that he would make his final decision following his Rutgers official visit and officially announce on National Signing Day.
However, the end game was revealed when a future Temple teammate of Wright posted his intentions on Twitter, putting media outlets in pursuit of confirmation.
Flip a kid! How Rutgers coach Chris Ash can make an immediate impactRutgers head coach Chris Ash and his new staff heads out onto the recruiting trail for the first time. Can they make a major splash in the next few weeks?
Despite an alleged "strong weekend" at Rutgers in which he bonded with multiple visitors in attendance, Wright ultimately had a stronger relationship with the Temple staff.
Wright is the third player to decommit from Rutgers over the past three days as the Scarlet Knights also suffered loses of three-stars Korab Idrizi, a tight end from Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.), and Elijah Johnson, an offensive lineman from DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.).
However, they also gained commitments from two prospects — three-star Immaculata (Somerville, N.J.) offensive lineman Mike Lonsdorf and unranked Pope John (Sparta, N.J.) center Sam Howson. And there is a chance they could be in for a third as they offered Pilot Point (Texas) slotback Dacoven Bailey and are his only FBS offer.
A Connecticut native born in Waterbury, Wright held seven offers when he initially picked Rutgers over finalists Ohio State, Wisconsin and Maryland in July.
He is the 13th player to decommit from Rutgers' recruiting class of 2016, following Nassau (Garden City, N.Y.) offensive tackle Malcolm Pridgeon, Venice (Fla.) defensive tackle Jarrod Hewitt, Poly Prep (Brooklyn, N.Y.) linebacker Elias Reynolds, West Catholic (Philadelphia, Pa.) defensive tackle Tymir Oliver, Grand Street (Brooklyn, N.Y.) wide receiver Ahmed Bah, South Brunswick safety Phil Campbell, Poly Prep (Brooklyn, N.Y.) offensive tackle Justin Morgan, Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.) quarterback Anthony Russo, Episcopal (Alexandria, Va.) safety Patrice Rene, South Forsyth (Cumming, Ga.) kicker Alex Barbir, Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) tight end Korab Idrizi and DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.) offensive lineman Elijah Johnson.

UT and OU still only at 16 and 19 commitments. USC at 13. 53 rivals 4 and 5 stars not committed yet. It will be interesting to see if they just pull from that pool or if the 53 includes a lot of academic non-qualifiers so players are going to get pulled from other universities at the last minute and leave teams scrambling.
