Pretty cool Ben mentioned the team noticed it in the postgame press conference tonight.

Just hope we get a better DJ for the Cincinnati game. Maybe we get the guy back the went to Cincinnati just for that game.

how does keith go from being the most fired up to see larry in that video to off the team in a week. They need to kiss and make up - we need an 8th player really bad.

The game presentation was fine. I think they even remembered they have other lights they can use because I can't remember all the ponyup and mustang spinning lights going crazy during the breaks at a game this season.
That crowd was just dead and not into it.

No, it's really not. I haven't been too critical hoping it would improve but it's not going to. It's no different than it was ten years ago - dumb contests, a PA guy who is more appropriate for a 50-year Highland Park reunion talking way too much, ill-timed songs played by the DJ and band with absolutey no flow whatsoever. The only saving grace is the team, which is first class. The game presentation is hokey as can be and soooo anti basketball culture. We had it right Jan 2014-March 2014 but then said eff it.

Walked in later than normal and heard it from the concourse. Finally. And thanks whoever was responsible.

Last night was better, but it's still a long road to get back to where we were just a couple years ago. Letting that guy slide off to Cincy was a disaster. Seriously, I want to know who was fired for that BS move.

I posted on this back when it happened. The guy was a student at SMU and I believe worked the games unpaid for a class. A thread was started about how the production had fallen off from Jan-March 2014 to the first few games in Nov-Dec 2014 and the guy randomly pm'd me to tell his story because of my post in the thread. I know all stories have two sides but I had no reason not to believe him. After the Cincinnati (Feb 2014) game he was contacted by a rep from Cincinnati to see if he would be interested in a job with the school to work gameday production for their basketball games. He went to the SMU admin and told them about it in hopes they would offer him a similar paid job. He said SMU made no effort to get him to stay and basically said good luck at Cincinnati.
I haven't heard from him since. No clue if he's still at Cincinnati or what but he's definitely not here.
