So it was Tuesday now Sunday?
Re: SMU Head Coach Candidates
Obviously it will be Sunday. CanΓÇÖt win on Saturday with the players not ready to play with a coach thatΓÇÖs abandoned them.

If we want a Cowboy coach let's get a current one; Dan Quinn the Pokes DC.

**** no
hmm... YES.. would love to have Sanders. Guy is a winner. He would win at SMU. No doubt.
If you want SMU to be relegated to mediocrity and forever the laughing stock of football then yes we should hire Deion.

Please, please, please hire someone who can coach, or at least hire as assistant who can coach, defensive backs!

Are there any candidates with real SMU ties?
What does being a "christian" have to do with the price of tea in China or coaching football?
Evidently you believe there is a correlation between a christian and off field behavior.
Hugh Frieze anyone? hmm...

A moral compass for one. Just look around our society in general and you will find a shortage. I could go on and on but I will refrain.orguy wrote:HarvCrimYaleBlue wrote:Lashlee is a self-professed Christian and I only state that to say he has high morals so hopefully there is no ΓÇÿdirt on himΓÇÖ. But as I stated in the post they are ΓÇ£not necessarily completely correlatedΓÇ¥. This means that you have a lot of people who state they are Christian but it is just words out of their mouth and it doesnΓÇÖt mean anything so I get what you are saying.
As far as coaching, it goes a long way in that I highly doubt RH would berate or curse out a player. Or drop f-bombs every other word like the coachΓÇÖs on the old show - last chance u. And maybe just maybe he wouldnΓÇÖt talk out of both side of his mouth and be shady as it relates to a change in situation.

Someone say airborne? In all seriousness I didn't like that the target left for Miami but I also understand there is a business aspect to college sports now. Just want the right fit and hopefully some longevity. Sucks that we continue to be a stepping stone to greener pastures.
SMU took a chance on me. I'll never turn my back on it.
Re: SMU Head Coach Candidates
Would be nice to find a coach that would stick around to actually see a rebuild come to fruition aka get a big conference invite. I just donΓÇÖt know if that coach is out there or exist. Finding a coach at SMU is pretty much a catch 22. We want to hire a successful coach that will stay but if s coach gets successful here they bounce the moment a P5 school comes calling.
