Preston competes 26 passes to 12 different guys. Good learning experience for him in front of a large and hostile crowd

OU just had more and better athletes but not by much. Unless I'm completely misjudging their talent level, I think they will compete with Texas for the Big XII title this year

In the last 6 quarters we have scored 2 (Two) TDs.

Dissapointed but with 12 minutes left we were only down by 3. Yes, UO has better
athletes but we are closing the gap. Kudos to our D! I was shocked. This is a good
UO team. Not last years incarnation. Respectable result. Classy of Venables to call
the dogs off at the very end. Future is bright!

Agreed. He might not look as good getting off the bus as some of these other guys, but he gets you the 2 yards when you really need them.

disappointed in our O. What good is good depth with talent when you don't use it? Levine, Wheaton etc

If the game plan is to run up the middle, when they have 7-8 guys in the box, Levine is the back you want in there to jar some fillings loose.

Our game plan appeared to be playing not to lose. They were in a 2 deep zone with 8 back. So front 4 was clogging up middle. Preston looked amped. Overthrew open receiver on bomb and seemed to zip the ball too hard for our guys yo catch it. Last pick was way overthrown. But if K hadn’t fumbled and that punt hadn’t been blocked we might have pulled it out

Went to the game and I’m very glad that I did. Oklahoma is the better team, but not by that much. They played solid mostly mistake free football, and we had costly dropped passes, costly fumble, and lack of execution at crucial moments. It was a game of woulda coulda shoulda, and we were still in it with 7 minutes left in the game. Beat TCU and go on to win AAC. It can be done

Surprised that they kept the score so close. I guess we will find out later if the defense is pretty good or if OU is overrated.

The new clock rule and our attempt to establish a running game shortened the game which invariably helps the underdog. I wonder if this played into Lashlees game plan? Running on every first down keeps the clock running.

Lashlee clearly didn't want to get into a track meet with a team that scored 73 points in week # 1 and is lead by an experienced SR QB
