The TV mentions that Mac was from SMU. Good coverage.

Mac's 2nd place finish last week brought him the closest to cracking the Top 70 in the Fed Ex Cup standings and he sits at # 86. Harry is at # 112 and Noah # 144

Mac is now # 87 on the money list with the Top 100 earning full exemptions for next year. That changed from the Top 125 with more guys qualifying via the Korn Ferry (where Austin has earned an exemption for next year with his 2 wins and # 2 standing)

Austin Smotherman is playing the Korn Ferry event in Nebraska this week and got off to a rough start today with his 3 over opening round that has him at least 4 shots behind the cut line going into tomorrow's 2nd round.

Not sure if anyone follows the Korn Ferry but Mitchell Meissner, Mac's older brother, is currently ranked # 12 on that tour and is in position to join Mac on the PGA Tour next year

Austin plays 36 holes 5 over par and misses the cut in Omaha by 7 shots. The # 1 player on the Korn Ferry (Johnny Keefer) also missed the cut by 3 shots.

For comparison vs what our guys are doing on the PGA Tour, Austin has earned $638,565 on the Korn Ferry to earn his # 2 ranking. Keefer is at $686,974 with 5 events remaining on this season's schedule

Austin is playing the Korn Ferry event in Idaho and is 3 under after his 1st round which leaves him 6 shots off the lead. The # 1 and # 3 players on that tour (Johnny Keefer and Neal Shipley, respectively) are at minus 8 and only one shot back as these 3 guys battle for the Korn Ferry Championship
