He will either lose his spot or break a ton of records

He threw inaccurately at ECU before his injury in the third quarter.

Re: Official CUSA Championship Game Thread
I have never thought this O was in sync for most of the season. They had a few spurts in a few quarters otherwise they was just simply out of phase and sync. I think that has something to do with the R & S, but very much to do with the QB making proper reads and finding his time to pass. Padron never really had that rhythm and sync. this season. I think that we all jumped to very high expectations after the Nevada game where everything went right. Kids had a great season; however, you always want to perform your best in championship games and Padron was simply too shaky for that to happen.

I was asking a buddy of mine that same question. Kyle seemed unsure of himself and as the game went on he lost more and more confidence in himself. Hopefully, the team learns from this, wins its bowl game and the Ponies have a big year in 2011.
If we go to the Armed Forces Bowl, I hope SMU fans will turn out to support this team. See all of you at the Bowl game.
SMU has come a long, long, long way since the 2008 season. The future is still bright for this program!

I agree. I think his injury had very little to do with his performance today. He played just like he has in our other loses/close wins

This team will be much better next year and quality the next. We could have done better but they never quit and were up against the best team in CUSA. We just are not there yet but we sure are making progress.
As far as clock management, I think Jones is so used to being able to put up big offensive points in his career he has never really learned clock management in a close low scoring game.

52 yard FG attemptis pretty iffy. Its hard to say if Kyle is better he didn't play that many games and was replacing BO last season. I think Kyle is good, not time to overreact from one bad game, he needs to improve his Football IQ (decision making (throwing the ball away) and accuracy. He is an incredibly accurate when he is true to his mechanics (maybe the ankle stopped his follow through.
He should be our starter but understand there are expectations and he needs to preform.
I've said before I expect big things from this team next year and one bad game won't change my opinion.

Yeah if he starts 4 years then he'll break all our passing records, likely won't touch any NCAA career records because he probably won't play well enough to do so. Let's hope Kaiser lights a fire under his [deleted] or just outright takes the starting job away.

He threw inaccurately at ECU before his injury in the third quarter.
Despite the injury, he was still required to make basic reads and unload the ball out of bounds to prevent sacks and save the clock. He failed to do very fundamental things required of a starting QB.
Re: Official CUSA Championship Game Thread
I agree jones needs to self evaluate and improve clock management (I think his idea of a hurry up is to just execute his offense) Hawaii had a lot of 4 play drives that took 1:30

that jog to the sideline has got to go - its a killer. He needs to not be so stubborn and realize what it costs you.

I wonder how much time we have blown and plays it cost us over the past 3 seasons.
