DENVER -- A man who had just moved from Florida to Denver will be looking for a new car after his caught fire and burned Thursday.

Zach Schultz told 7News that he was driving southbound on Colorado Boulevard, near Interstate 70, shortly after noon when he attempted to throw a cigarette he had been smoking out the window of his older model station wagon.

Schultz, 25, said the wind blew the cigarette back into his car, catching it on fire.
haha!...ive heard stories of people peeing out the windows while on 35 only to have it come around the other side of the car and hit the drive through their open window

JT is one tough leader

Scientology trains its leaders a good deal more aggressively than other religions do, judging by the revelations by four former church officials to the St. Petersburg Times in June. In an exercise concocted by founder L. Ron Hubbard, leaders who screw up are taken out to sea and forced off a gangplank with the admonition, "We commit your sins and errors to the deep and trust you will rise a better Thetan (immortal spiritual being)." The rituals can also take place in a cold swimming pool, with the transgressors in business suits. Also, to test leaders' commitment, the head Scientologist, with a boombox, conducts games of musical chairs to reward the last man sitting (using the music of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody": "Is this the real life? / Is this just fantasy? / Caught in a landslide / No escape from reality")

Not tough like the old days where I'd take them out to a volcano and nuke them. A couple of millenia will soften you up.

Mexico drug lords love their handles
By MARK STEVENSON Associated Press
July 23, 2009, 7:49AM

MEXICO CITY â€" Edgar Valdez Villarreal is believed to be the chief hit man for one of Mexico's most brutal drug cartels. His nickname? "Barbie."

That's right, the American fashion doll. Because the U.S.-born Valdez has blond, blue-eyed good looks.

In Mexico's cutthroat drug underworld, "Barbie" shares the stage with such fearsome characters as "Bunny Commander" and "Smurf," "Taliban" and "Monkey."

Tattooed gangster forced to look like Tom Selleck
By MILES ERWIN - Monday, July 27, 2009

A gang member has been told by his lawyer to grow a Magnum PI-style moustache to hide the name of a gang tattooed on his lip.

Richard Rodriguez's lawyer feared jurors would judge him on his 'Flores' gang tattoo.

Now, he has issued a digitally altered picture of the 23-year-old 'looking like Tom Selleck' as he prepares to sue police for £3million for alleged assault in Los Angeles.

Did we get bought up by Britain? When did we start using pounds instead of dollars? Then again, the pound may be worth something these days.

I saw that highlight on television. Can you imagine if he'd dropped the baby what would have happened to him? We're talking Michael Jackson territory.

What if he had dropped the baby, caught the foul ball and then the baby before it hit the ground.

An obese Harris County jail inmate turned over a pistol that had been hidden in the folds of his skin after he went through at least five searches upon his arrest and was booked into two different local lockups, authorities said.

George Vera, 25, is charged with possession of a firearm in a correctional facility. He also is charged with possessing or selling unlabeled recordings, the original reason for his arrest.
