I'm looking at an NCAA Recruiting Calander right now and it says this is a Quiet Period-and this is the definition of a Quiet Period-Coaches can write and telephone

Quiet period is a time when the college may not have any in-person talk with the prospective student-athlete or the parents off the college’s campus. The coach may not watch the prospect play or practice. The prospective student-athlete can visit college campuses during this time and a coach may write or telephone.

Are the SMU damage control spin doctors working that hard? And even if he were not they could still call the high school coaches or find other approved way to get in contact with recruits.

wait. That may not be the same rule for Juniors-but believe me most of the schools in Texas have 30-50 offers out. They can get offers out-this would demonstrate even more how important it is to have early Junior Days. You can talk to them then . So we are going to let these recruits go to the 20 or so Junior Days for schools in the region a 1-2 months before us and we don't plan to get a pitch in for SMU? Good luck with that
