Feb 10, has SMU as the 9th seed in the East. This is getting closer to where I think we should be seeded.

Just curious, but what determines what Region we are in for the Tournament (East, West ect.)? Lokks like for ESPN we are placed in the East, but just not sure why.

Thanks

Mostly they just fill slots but they can take into account where you are located.

The higher the rank, the more they take it into account.

When the regular season is done we will be 4/5 seed. Finally people are stopping all this nonsense of being a bubble team - we are not a bubble team!

Work left to do: Southern Methodist

Southern Methodist [19-5 (8-3), RPI: 40, SOS: 123] The Larry Brown-led Mustangs are one of the surprise teams of the season. Are they a tournament team, too? The answer is a resounding "maybe." SMU has three big wins over UConn, Memphis and Cincinnati, and they play some of the best defense in the country. But the Mustangs' lackluster schedule -- their non-con slate ranks 297th overall -- and lack of road wins means the committee will raise an eyebrow unless SMU does something on the road (at UConn and Memphis, say) in the coming weeks.

Certainly no lock, this kind of echoes what I was saying a few days ago.

UCincinnati is correct. SMU is no lock yet, but Saturday's win went a long way towards getting us there. There's a lot of work left to do and fortunately it seems our team is up for it.

Quality wins is really hurting the conference. The top teams in the conference are really going to have to lock-in OOC match-ups that are high-grade next year or this is going to be a recurring theme. Too many RPI killers in the conference that are meaningless to the committee if you win like you should. Just reality at the moment.

I wish, I'm out in NYC for work at the moment. My brother is there though, lucky duck took our Huntington Club seats. I'll be at MSU however. I could lie though if you like? #feelsbadman

This is the best the Bucks have looked in weeks though.

This. And next year'll be worse. "No bad losses" will be an absolute necessity. (And we've already seen how easy one of those can sneak up on you...) All of the top AAC teams need to schedule and perform well OOC, not just SMU, if we want to remain a 4+ bid league.

My buddy in Dallas is trying to get to the UNC/Dook game tomorrow, but can't get on any flight that lands anywhere close to RDU due to the weather. Feel awful for him.
Would be a huge win for the bucks

I need it more than the Bucks if you know where I'm going with that haha. But yeah, Bucks need all the solid wins they can get for seeding right now. Cool that you're watching, I enjoy talking about them just as much as SMU if you can believe it ha

My UNC friend in Raleigh said that Heel fans are scared about the crowd because of the awful weather.
