I am sad that with 0:47 minutes to go and up 8 pts against an FCS opponent, I still am nervous. Being an SMU fan is hard. There is definitely something dysfunctional with our athletic program. Not just bad luck.

Well we just beat the worst team I've ever seen us play. Just win baby!

I know I predicted 4 to 6 wins but there is also a slight chance that we might not win another game this year.

Yeah that was pretty ugly. We are better than last year but not by much.

Our defense is not mearly bad instead of horrible.

Offense inconsistent with poor QB play.

We lose to TCU by 24.

The good news is the Ponies are now good enough to play a terrible game and still beat a FCS team.

Critical sack by Badejo towards the end of the game.

That was UGLY. Yikes.

Defense won the game. Let's fire Malone.

Seriously, our secondary has greatly improved except for covering a screen pass.

Don't really need any "Thoughts on the game" after watching that.

If our offense can't get rolling early it could get ugly. And that is not saying anything negative about our defense but TCU has so much more team speed than SMU.

I feel the same way... unfortunately the only thing our QB learned from last week was how
to do the exact same things more efficiently and against weaker competition.
This was truly depressing.

Ha! I love these threads-wondering what you guys expected and WHY? SMU improved tonite. Hicks improved tonite despite the ints. SMU's defense improved tonite and helped win the game with turnovers. SMU is not a very good team yet and Liberty is a lot better than some want to admit. We lose this game last year. I thought the team was prepared and ready to play unlike against past FCS teams. Well coached on both sides of the ball. We just aren't playing well in the Redzone-and that should be spread to all players on Offense not just Hicks because there were a lot of breakdowns by a lot of players.

Special teams worries me. Not just the kicker. Kick off returns by Liberty were depressing.
