Good points, all of you, about Miss. St & Alabama. The trouble is, if we jumped on board [again], the same thing that happened before would happen again. That is, those that are of the opinion that UT & aTm are the only institutions worthy of such marketing procedures, with TTU on the side, would see to it that SMU is made an example of. I believe the term is 'Patsy.'

That wasn't the Board of Trustees... it was the Board of Governors, which was discontinued.

Was reminiscing just the other day about the good old days of the SWC. I wonder if some of our former competitors still have "friends of the program" buying players tickets for those ridiculously high figures? Boy, if only David Stanley hadn't developed that bad habit, huh? Do you think SMU would have eventually built an on-campus stadium with a 45,000 seat capacity along with plenty of luxury suites and parking garage(s)?
