I thought about OJ and Marcus Allen. Certainly both were great running backs. OJ didn't have great pro numbers for many of his years in the NFL and finally had a couple of solid seasons. Part of that was because the Bills had no offense to speak of except OJ and no line to give him much room. I probably should have added Marcus Allen to my list, the game he had in that Raiders/Redskins Super Bowl and his entire career certainly put him in rare company. And concerning Eric the citizen. He has kept his nose clean and while known as a "me first" player, was very appreciated by his Rams teammates. Also with the ball he could be either elusive or run over people. There are plenty of defensive backs who still have his cleat marks on their backs.
