Take a look at the pictures of the day:

Bamba is #34 and is shown blocking someone in the first picture.

Bamba Fall has gone for 13,15 and 16 points in his last three games, on over 50% shooting from the field. Had 6 rebounds in each game. Africa beat up on the Texas team today which whipped them 3days ago. Won by 14 today after losing by something like 22 the other day. Thats a 36 point turnaround on a nuetral court. strange.

And if that's a picture of Bamba, he's not Manute Bol.

as me@smu said, that is Bamba. He's no Manute but he is damn skinny. I think that picture make his muscles look a little more defined than normal. Still, the guy is not a stiff and he could be pretty good, especially compared to true centers we have had around here in awhile.

He's thicker now than poor Manute was at any point in his career. If Coach Faucette and his staff can add just .... 20 pounds? 40 pounds? It won't LOOK like a dramatic change, because it will be spread out over that long frame, but he could be pretty imposing. (I know, he already is, height-wise ....) I'm cautiously very excited about this guy.

Manute spent most of his career with Washington. The year he was drafted they also drafted Mugsy Bogues to balance things out. A 5'6" guard and a 7'6" center. They looked really funny standing next to each other.

I'd love to have a Manute Boll on our roster...or a Jon Koncak for that matter. Those guys may not have been great NBA players, but they were good enough to compete with the best. That would be a step in the right direction for this program.
