I'd take a kickoff return for the TD on our first possession. Is that over the top?

Hell no - that's optimism. Keep it up. Has SMU ever returned the opening kickoff for a score? What about the opening kickoff of a SEASON for a score?
Sure would get things off on the right foot.

(And the soothing tones of "Nuck If You Buck" would drift once more over the homes in Highland Park....)

I was 11 years old. I honestly don't remember where I was that day. I do know that I didn't live in Waco then, though -- that's one of the perks of marrying someone who has family here.

I'm pretty impressed, though, that you can call that up so quickly. Good stuff. (And that gives me more fodder to fight all the baylorphiles in my office.... thanks.)

I just hope the first Mustang points aren't scored by Bamba Falls.

OK since we are having some fun with this.

How about Brandon Bonds on the third play of the game when Baylor pitches left and the ball is lost.. Then Brandon scoops it up on the 5 and runs in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First score will be a FG

Post by Sam I Am »

The FG kicker will score first, of necessitiy when the team bogs down in the red zone. The second score will be made by someone on defense who picks up an errant fumble and rambles into the end zone. The offense scores deep in the fourt quarter when the coach shucks the red shirt off a true freshman QB who stuns the crowd is a long pass completion for a TD.
