he definitely charged them with his saber drawn-that's why he was PLANTED on his [deleted]! By a SMMMMOOOO cheerleader-which makes it even more DELICIOUS. Sabre charging corp cadet beaten up by private school CHEER-leader in front of 70,000 fans.

Wasn't there a set of pictures in the paper of the Aggie running with his sword drawn or and then an after picture with him picking up his cover off the ground.

There were a series of pictures, maybe even a video, somewhere. My recollection is the cheerleaders pulled the old "one-kneels-behind-the-aggie-while-the-other-one-pushes-him-over-backwards" gag in response to the wannabe pirate.

I hope that was not the case because if so my memory loses all credibility. I do not believe there was any kneel behind strategy or even accident. It happened very quickly and could not have been planned and it was such a surprise that the cheerleader acted out of self defense instinct. If it was a planned or even unplanned gag that included a set up then I was drinking even more back then than I recall.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It is a State of Texas "tradition" to make fun og the Aggies. The only reason they are cult like is that they were originally pariahs in the university world because they were a bunch of farmers.

hey the reason that some cheerleaders may have been on their hands and knees was because they were doing a cheer where they would jump on the ground and spell out S-M-U in script form.

Hey, that's just my recollection--I wouldn't bet the farm on it. That happened many beers ago.

I wish we could find a video though. It would be good viewing. I do remember that the following year at Texas Stadium the promotion folks were giving out nerf type swords to all the SMU fans at the gate.

jtstang has it right. They did the kneel behind the other guys back thing, one cheerleader pushed him over the other kneeling cheerleader. The CT (probably mostly in humiliation) drew his sabre. Now, the reality of the matter is that those sabres could do about as much damage as a butter knife. They are so dull they can't cut anything. if you really tried hard and ra right at it, I suppose you could self impale. However, the Ct drawing his sword was on tv and because of the embarassment it caused, he was kicked out of school.

Now, since that incident occurred a long time ago and before the advent of the internet, it has been passed down many times and has evolved into some mouth breathing neanderthal in a corps uniform chasing after some poor defenseless female SMU cheerleader.

I'll be there, sitting in the middle of all the wannabees.

And if a Cadet sword comes out, I'll be looking for an opportunity to give one of them a military enima with it.

Hey-o, apparently what I wrote got a bit misconstrued. I don't mind making fun of the aggies, as long as we have some sense of a grounded mindset. The whole "aggies are stupid; we're going to kill them" mentality just isn't working for me.

I leave the band for a year and I get soft, sheesh. Being annoying is fine, but being overly arrogant where we shouldn't be is a different thing.

In other owrds. Beat the hell out of Texas A & M!!!
