Well.. these poor folk are going to lay a huge whooping on SMU's arse. To make matters worse, it's on TV.. AGAIN.

Cheers to our Marshall.. another program that's acomplished alot despite the odds. Something SMU has proven it can and will not do.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

As HoofBeat has said, he uses the term "we" liberally, so I don't think all Stang fans are as mis-informed as he. I am looking forward to meeting as many Stang fans as possible, yes even you EastStang.

Look, man, don't whine--just retaliate. Try this:

Q. How many Mustang football players does it take to get to a bowl game?

A1. Two. One to buy the tickets from an overpriced broker, and one to drive the Mercedes daddy bought him to the game.

or:

A2. Unknown. Going on seventeen years' worth, at least.

jtstang,

Thanks for the humor! I enjoy it and feel that you fellas are respectful. Are any of you Stangs coming to the HerdFans.com tailgate?

I/we would like to know who to look for. If you are apprehensive about attending the opposing teams tailgates, check out the Kansas State board about our hospitality and kindness. We want as many CUSA brothers/friends as possible, and beleove it or not root for y'all when of course you're not playing us.

I priced it but it was going to cost $1,500.00 for a flight and no telling how much for room, car, etc. I think CSTV will be a little better for my wallet although I wish I could go.

Hey Texas Herd Fan. We would love to come to your tailgate party. With our SMU shirts on we should stick out! What area of the campus/stadium do you guys set up?

Actually, besides the shirts, the tears in our eyes (snicker) from every year since 1986 gives it away. Like most people on this board, I should be in therapy.

carolina stang,

Sorry for the long delay in reply. The HerdFans.com tailgate is located at the Inferno parking lot, across the street on 5th Ave side of our Stadium. Keep walking up 5th avenue and you'll see us on the left hand side right before the railroad tracks (opposite stadium). 5th Ave is a Rt. 60 West (one way). Please swing by and introduce yourselves. We are as friendly as they come, except to WVU intigators. Blade, the Head of the tailgate will be there at 8am, but I would say if you were to swing by at the 10-11am time, all would be set up. You can even go to www.herdfans.com to check out the menu at the SMU Tailgate thread on page 2 (as of right now). I would suggest walking if you plan on consuming adult beverages. The cops are nice, but I wouldn't risk it being an opposing fan.

Hope to see you Saturday.
