This story is total b.s. Whoever made it up should have at least thought of another school to include than USM. There is NO WAY in hell that Ole Miss and Miss St. will allow a third Mississippi school to come in to the conference. As it is now, UM and MSU refuse to even play USM. UM and MSU try to cast USM as the red-headed step-child of the state schools and will do anything to thwart USM's ability to steal quality players away from them. Total b.s.

Why would the SEC schools want to water down their lucrative TV contract revenue?

By the way, Sewanee was a charter member of the SEC. Legend has it that when they left the conference the other SEC members granted Sewanee the right to re-enter the conference in the future if the school wish to do so.

Teams that lose to SMU do not get invited to the SEC.

I work for the SEC.

So I am really getting a kick out of most of these replies.

Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about.

But trust me.... you don't.

I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you don't know what you are talking about.

This is how bad info gets passed around.

If you dont know about the topic....Dont make yourself sound like you do.

Cuz some froggies believe anything they hear.

And they lost to SMU.

So was that confirming or denying anything or just a rant?

My fantasy would be for us to get invited into the SEC. Screw the big 12 which IMO is about as exciting as a piece of white bread. Jesus, would that be cool to have LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss coming here to play football as well as all the SEC teams in basketball?

You are right--it is a fantasy.

Neither. It's a sarcastic response common on some message boards when someone claims to have insider info but won't share any details or sources.

That is redundant jt...he already said it was a fantasy. Specifically HIS fantasy. Let him have his fantasy and we will leave yours alone too.

So as an SEC insider I guess you will not be sharing any info either. (Please note sarcasm.)
