Doesn't DeSoto run the option? Isn't this kid an option QB? He may be given a shot at QB, but that doesn't mean he will be a QB.

Let him come to SMU, play some and then he'll transfer to Sam Houston State (Div. 1-AA) between his junior and senior year. He'll be in the NFL before you know it!

We have too many short QB's and you want guys with that size to be in the sub 4.4 range not sub 4.7

SMU FOOTBALL Blog I wouldn't have made a big deal out of an option QB being recruited as an athlete. But this kid INCREDIBLY -at least based on his quotes - was OFFERED as a QUARTERBACK by SMU and ONLY SMU. That's why he said he committed to SMU because of the opportunity to play QUARTERBACK.

Hell, at the rate we go through them, Bamba Fall might have an opportunity to play quarterback. Nothing wrong with his height.

Saw Bamba Fall on campus today. He looks a little stronger than he did at the end of the season, for what that's worth (nothing) to this discussion.

That is what he told Rivals. I don't doubt that for a second.

Food for thought -- found this today (on studentsports.rivals.com -- wouldn't two branches of rivals have the same numbers?):
"Two others to watch on the De Soto offense will be 6-2, 210 pound WR Garrick Williams and 5-10, 170 pound QB Terrance Wilkerson. Williams has good speed at 4.6 in the 40 and caught 19 passes for 250 yards and five TDs as a junior, while Wilkerson might be the Eagles' fastest player and ran for over 800 yards while passing for 575 yards in '05.

And TexasHSFootball.com has him at 5-11, 170, 4.4.
Naturally, you might get a different time out of different workouts, but that's a much more comforting time.

Something called yappi.com added this:
"QB Terrance Wilkerson 5-9, 165, Jr. "Team's fastest QB in recent years, has good vision ...."
If that's true, that's saying something, because they've had some fliers at DeSoto.

He isn't going to play QB for us, give me a break.

I like the sound of the Williams kid. Incidentally, is Dave Meadows still the HC at DeSoto? His son, Shawn, is a fb coach as well...and a former Tulane QB

I hope some of those times and comments are accurate. I'm starting to feel better about this Wilkerson guy.
Congratulations, Terrance -- you've made a great decision!
