That's what we need. SMU and TCU both beat TT. Then the Big XII ejects Baylor and TT and admits SMU and TCU. The I30 shoot out is created and played in the Cotton Bowl to replace the Red River shoot out that moved to Jerry World.

Hey, I can dream.

I'm hoping Tech thinks its playing the same old SMU. I'm worried about our inexperience at corner and LB against these guys. Just when you think they're going long, they draw play it. If our corners can hold and our LB's stuff the draw a few times, it could be an entertaining game. TT seems to have lost some players on the defensive side of the ball which might give Willis some ability to get his bearings and DeMyron needs to show he's a legitimate star of the future. Bennett should have the guys riled up if only by playing the video of him trying to knock the TT coach's lights out.

Ahhh my dream! SMU vs TCU in the Fort Worth Bowl...Man that would be awesome.

If we ever have to play in the FW Bowl again (no matter who we are playing), I hope I wake up from my nightmare!

Actually I was thinking more along the lines of the Liberty Bowl, but I'd settle for the Ft. Worth Bowl if TCU has a bad year.

or the GMAC. Or anything remotely related to us winning.

I was with you for the first couple of sentences, then you lost me. I for one am not interested at all in the big 12 if I have to give up trips to Fort Collins and San Diego for manhatten,ks and lubbock. NO thanks

So you'd rather stay in the Mountain Far West and NOT be in a BCS conference where TCU, a top 10 team, could have a chance to play for a national championship. TCU does not need more fans like you.

I will be the first to admit that with the exception of Austin, Boulder and maybe Lawrence, the rest of the Big XII locales are pretty dismal. (Waco, Stillwater, Norman, Lincoln, Lubbock, College Station, Manhatten, etc.) But to keep those trips to Laramie, SLC and Provo? Albequerque is okay once. But every other year? Now Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins and San Diego are very nice. Las Vegas is a creature unto its own. For BCS $$$, I would hold my nose and go to Cedar Rapids and enjoy it. Then again Ft. Worth isn't much different is it?

Score one for the value of a Froggy High education!

Look, if you like to travel to San Diego and Fort Collins, that's fine. I gather they're both nice places (having never been to either one). However, if you're traveling to support your team, then it's insane to say you prefer the MWC to the Big 12. Yes, the Big 12 is overrated and can't hold up (top to bottom) against some of the other power conferences, but if Froggy High somehow scored an invitation to the Big 12, and had one of those perfect 11-1 years (21-10!), they could get a BCS bowl bid. In the MWC, even an undefeated year won't get a BCS bowl bid. Don't get me wrong: Froggy High has had a nice run in recent years. But if you're going to talk about joining the upper echelon, you've got to play the big boys, and not just in non-conference games.

SMU also lost a starting QB in 2004 against TCU-but gained a Tight End!

Thats because its NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! We have a better chance of joining the SEC than we do of joining the Big 12. Actually, I'd rather stay in a Mountain West and be in a BCS conference.

I travel to support the team, but I just don't see us getting an invite from any of the cartel conferences regardless of the circumstances. I think we have aligned ourselves with some large state schools in Utah, New Mexico, Colorado St., et al; that should there be an anti-trust issue, our conference will have adequate state representation. Its our best shot right now. I just don't get all this pie in the sky BS about if we were in the Big 12. They didn't want us last time they hauled [deleted], why would they want to split the pie even further?
