Dude...we just lost to freakin North Texas...to end THEIR 7 game losing streak. No we didn't lose, we just got SMOKED.

Sorry, but even after I have been on of the few Bennett supporters out there I'm sick of it.

I don't want 5 or 6 wins...cause that won't get us to a bowl. We need atleast 7 maybe 8 to get to a bowl. That sure isn't happening now.

Gimme Rick Neuheisel. He fits the Orsini profile of a coach who needs to redeem himself although, from what I gather, he probably wouldn't pull the trigger on that one.

Sounds like a Visa 'priceless' commercial.

As long as you don't schedule a Div. 1-AA team against him when he arrives at S.M.U.

I've always said that Rick Neuhisel would be a good hire...he had success at CU and Washington, and the sanctions that got him fired (participating in an NCAA baksetball poll) certainly werent serious...he'd definitley draw attention. although Butch Davis would be the BEST, but I dont know if he'd be interested in a program of SMU's caliber- he was an NFL coach as well as a big name college coach before.

Baby steps, my friend, Baby steps. You think its EASY to turn a team that got the death penalty into a winner in only 20 years? DO YOU???
We've got to win 5-6 games a year until we're consistent. Only then can we turn that into 7-8 wins, and then into 9 or more. Give SMU another 5 years and keep ol' Philly around. He really is a GREAT guy!!

Charlie Weatherbie at UL Monroe might be a good idea.

Todd Dodge at South Lake Carrol?

Ramon Flannigan?

Gene Chizik? Would he come here?

The HC at West Texas A&M is a good one, but can he handle football at this level?

Gary Barnett?

For some reason, I really like the Todd Dodge idea! He definitely has developed a prolific offense for high school. I also have a feeling that he could really recruit. I'm sure the high school background will disqualify him from the search, but a new coach might be smart to consider him for offensive coordinator. Afterall that has been our primary weakness since we resumed playing football post death penalty.

Quit dreaming. Dodge ain't going anywhere until his son graduates from high school. Besides, SMU is already playing at the high school level. The Mustangs need to get someone who can coach at the college level.

I'd be willing to bet that $600K would move him faster than you could say donuts. Afterall, his kid wouldn't have to change schools.
