Someone who knows a lot more about Southlake Carroll than me educate on something. How many of the kids from Southlake go on to play at big time major colleges and do well?????? I know the old qb is doing fine at Missouri, who else?

We need a name....or a "change agent" like the Rutgers coach, somebaody who has at least been there, done that, not some cool high school coach, with ALL due respect to TD.

Friarwolf,
Pay attention to what Chase Daniel is doing at Missouri at QB.
Pay attention to what McKay Jacobson is doing at BYU at WR.
Pay attention to what Scott Chandler is doing at Iowa at TE.
Pay attention to what Garrett Hartley is doing at OU at PK.
Pay attention to what Adam Ulatoski is doing at Texas at OL.

I'm not trying to be smart. I'm just helping you out with some of the Carroll guys who are at DI schools. That program produces very good and very well coached players. They do contribute.

Norm Chow is our man. He wants a college Head Coaching job and after he did not get the Stanford job, he would listen to us.

Didn't Rossley get cut from the Packer coaching staff? At least we would have some interesting offense!

yeah that would be a GREAT idea-go get a guy who has already failed miserably, won about 24% of his games and lost to Rice all 6 years in a row. I know I'm excited,

We need to find the current-day "Ron Meyer" at the current-day "UNLV"... you can bet Orsini is doing his homework or has completed it and is waiting until November 26 to turn it in.

Chow was contacted by SMU before. The reason Chow isn't a IA head coach is Chow priced himself out of the IA headcoaching market. He seemed to think he was entitled to $800k to $1M a year, and that was five years ago. That is just too much money to pay a first time head coach at any level. That is why he never even got interviews.

Norm Chow is 60. Too late to become a head coach. No thank you.

If Orsini doesn't go for the big name/proven candidate I hope he hires Darrell Dickey and his staff. Dickey was the OC for SMU's last winning team.

What kind of money per year would it take for SMU to offer Butch Davis where he just couldn't hardly say "no"?

Is there much concern with how poorly Butch did as a head coach in the NFL?

I don't know who Orsini should hire once Bennett gets fired-but I damn sure know he better have more energy and better salesman personalty than Norn Chow, Tom Rossley, R.C. Slow-come or Darrell Dickey. We need someone who can sell SMU to recruits and alumni-just like Doherty is doing. Please no "old ball Coaches who can really coach x's and o's but can't recruit or sell the alumni base-not the Cheerleaders on this board who drop their skirt for anyone wearing an SMU cap but the fans who gave up on SMU long ago.

Stallion, do I sense winds of change blowing in your post? In the past, you've said something along the lines of, I don't want to hear about changing the coach...fix the model b/c every coach will be handicapped...' Your post above includes "...once Bennett gets fired..." Was the air of certainty in that statement intentional? Was your post dictated but not read? Verified for form but not as to substance?
