Isn't Martin supposed to return this week? Sure hope so.
Our defensive line was brilliant last year against the Miners (Haywood: get another pick, but stay on your feet!), and needs to repeat that this year.
Lindley & co., need to play great against Higgins.
UTEP might well be the fastest defense we've seen this year.
Price is mad about our media guide (grow up!) Miners are mad about last year's game (which is actually relevant).
UTEP 27
SMU 24

SO! He didn't have a winning record in September until this year either. Things change.

Just trying to stay current with all of the blowout scores everybody is predicting.
I can give you the predicted scores of the Big 10 games this week. But you have to say pretty please.

But only giving us a 1 in four chance to actually win. UTEP in the sunbowl is a pretty nasty pill to swallow
Sagarin puts us up by 2 against UTEP, and this sounds like a good score
with UTEP's defense, and our secondary.
Might need a few turnovers like last year to compensate for home field
advantage.

After an embarrisng loss last year, UTEP finds a way not to lose at home.
SMU CANT capitalize on forcing turnovers and their offense stalls in the second half...
UTEP 38
SMU 17
PROVE ME WRONG WILLIS and Co...

SMU improves its 2 minute drill to stunt a driving miner offense. Joe makes a pick at the SMU 10 to seal the deal...

I like that...lull the Miners into thinking this is a UTEP win in the bag...I see win #4 for the Ponies. May not be easy, but the team has a
new can do spirit...can't call the score, but I say it's an SMU win.

SMU 42
UTEP 39
Bobby Chase catches three TD passes in the final quarter to give the Mustangs the win.

Apparently, we're conditioned losers because some of you picked against your own team!

UTEP - Still in El Paso
