Yeah I agree Bergermeister. that's a good way to describe it. When I first heard about this uniform change I thought it was going to look all "Gen-X'd" but I actually think it's going to have more of a classic "collegiate" look as well.
I just hope we don't get to wild with the Jerseys.

In all seriousness, how can smumustangs.com not have at least a drawing of the new uniforms yet? It's been three days.

I know we're not big time but we're still Division I-A and our athletic department's web site should have a picture of the new uniforms by now. Last time I looked it's 2003.

I don't think they know yet.

Thanks for the post. I noticed that 5 WAC teams have blue helmets. We'll be the 6th. I like being different. Hawaii is green, UTEP=orange, FSU/LA Tech=Red. I would hate to be a QB and see a sea of blue helmets out there.

Might be a little CFL-esque, but I'd kind of like to check that out before I give it a definitive thumbs-down. Sounds kind of interesting.

Incidentally, I'd love to see Coach Bennett put the Ponies in blue helmets with the metallic fleck in the paint, like Oregon has. Depending on what angle you look at the Ducks' helmet from and what angle the lights are, it looks like the helmet changes colors from green to black and back. Very cool lids.
