and the people in Denver miss decent restaurants, culture, and people with a work ethic.

Denver is nice but it gets lost - its too isolated but for a visit. Now a week in Telluride is a different matter. When Doh leaves he will be heading east, not west.

one major difference in bball vs football is that you REALLY DO have an opportunity to win a national championship at a place like SMU or Gonzaga or whereever...just get to the dance.

Duke stinks on the gridiron but we all know their hoops history. I like coach Doh's comparing SMU to Duke. Why not? One or two studs can take you a long way. Can anyone remember Larry Bird's ISU teammates that went to the finals in 1979?

Let's hope we get to find out whether SMU can afford to keep Doherty here as a long time coach who is constantly courted by others
