what are 3,000 fans going to climb the fences so they don't have to pay? Announced crowd is ALWAYS bigger than actual crowd and includes the mysteriously lost and missing season ticket holders between the 40s.

22 thousand would be amazing...though I think 15K is very likely from SMU contingent...how many coug fans can we get there?

Talked to a friend today who attends UH and it seems like they are going to have a pretty good student turnout. They are offering a game ticket, chartered busses leaving UH tomorrow morning and tailgate to students for $10 per person and have gotten such a great response they are sold out. My friend could not reserve a spot on 1 of the 4 charted busses for students bc they are all full. Those are in addition to the UH band, cheerleaders etc.
If I recall correctly, the chartered busses fiot about 125-150 on them with all seats full right? If 500-600 students are coming up on busses from Houston I would imagine we can fully expect 2,000+ Coog fans to attend.

4 Cougar fan buses are coming. 2 will have alums that paid $86 each (w/ ticket) and 2 will have students that paid $10. An alum donated the money to fund the two with students, including the tailgate on the Boulevard. The band is coming separately. There will be about 250-300 with the band, Dolls, cheerleaders, etc.
50 per bus = 200
Band+ = 300
There are a lot of folks coming up from Houston and there should be a decent showing from Dallas, as well as Stephenville -- where Briles used to coach. I'm going to guess 2,500 to 3,000 Cougar fans.

Do you really think that people will come from Stephenville to see Houston.....just because Briles coached there? Cougar High will be lucky to have 1000 fans at the game.

actually yes, my brother has some friends that play and they come by our tailgate after every game. we jokingly asked if they had any extra tickets for this game and they said a large portion of them have been taken by people from Stephnville. Briles is a legend there, of course some are going to show up
